Research Graduate Assistant
Assist faculty with research as well as general tasks of the Occupational Therapy program and faculty.
- Part-time (10 hours/week)
- Compensation: $5,000 stipend
- Academic Program Required: Master of Science in Occupational Therapy
Dates
January 5, 2026 - December 11, 2026; interviews begin in mid-November 2025
Principal Duties & Responsibilities
50% of weekly time:
- Provide assistance and support for the Occupational Therapy Program as needed
- Research for faculty, including database and web searches as needed
- Development of Critically Appraised Topics library for courses, which may include research (with target dates) of topics, conditions, assessment strategies/instruments and interventions as requested by faculty members
- Completion of annotated bibliography of Critically Appraised Topics on key research as requested by course instructors
- Conduct workshops for fellow students on conducting searches (possibly)
50% of weekly time:
- Assist with class preparations, including set up, lab set up, clean up according to needs of faculty
- Equipment and lab maintenance, as needed, which may include regular inventory of supplies and equipment and assisting with ordering of supplies and equipment maintenance, repairs, etc. as needed
- General office/department tasks as needed
- Assist with recruitment responsibilities:
- Meet with prospective students
- Attend interviews for OT program applicants
- Attend University and Departmental Open Houses (including those events still to be announced)
- Attend and assist with special events
- Attend and assist with Pre-OT Club activities and events as requested
Knowledge & Skills Needed
- First-Year Master of Science in Occupational Therapy student
- Good computer skills
- Ability to work with little oversight
- Organized, responsible, reliable
- Attention to detail
Unusual Working Conditions
Ten hours per week are required for each trimester (spring 2025, summer 2025 & fall 2025). Some evening/weekend hours to cover University Open Houses, Information Sessions, Program Events.
General Office Graduate Assistant
Provide general assistance to the Occupational Therapy Program.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities
- General office assistance to the Academic Department Assistant & Occupational Therapy faculty
- Data entry
- Typing, scanning, copying
- Assist with class preparations, including: set up, lab set up, and clean up according to the needs of the faculty
- Attend and assist with program events as needed
- Assist with recruitment responsibilities including meeting with prospective students, attending interviews for OT program applicants, attend University and Departmental Open Houses including those on Saturdays/Sundays/holidays to be announced at later date
- Attend and assist with Pre-OT Club activities and events as requested
Knowledge & Skills Needed
- First year Master of Science in Occupational Therapy student
- Good organization skills
- Responsible and reliable
- Ability to work with little oversight
- Good computer skills

Fieldwork Graduate Assistant
Assist Academic Fieldwork Coordinator and Occupational Therapy faculty, OT program.
- Part-time (10 hours/week)
- Compensation: $5,000 stipend
- Academic Program Required: Master of Science in Occupational Therapy

September 15, 2025 - September 14, 2026
Principal Duties & Responsibilities
80% of weekly time may include:
- Provide assistance and support for the Occupational Therapy Academic Fieldwork Coordinator
- Prepare and mail out Level I and Level II fieldwork packages
- Follow through on evaluations and recording data
- Compile and mail out Level I and Level II Certificates to fieldwork educators
- Update share point fieldwork site data
20% of weekly time may include:
- Assist with class preparations, including set up, lab setup, clean up according to needs of faculty
- Provide assistance and support for the Occupational Therapy Program as needed
- Assist with recruitment responsibilities:
- Meet with prospective students
- Attend interviews for OT program applicants
- Attend University and departmental Open Houses- including those on Saturdays/Sundays to be announced in September 2024, November 2024, March 2025 & April 2025
- Attend and assist with special events
- Attend and assist with Pre-OT Club activities and events as requested

- First-Year Master of Science in Occupational Therapy student

Marketing/PR Assistant
Assists with Marketing/PR as well as general tasks of the Occupational Therapy program and faculty.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities
50% of weekly time:
- Communicate with OT department faculty, staff, students and clubs about events, special programs, speakers, etc. to keep calendar of all monthly happenings within the program.
- Assist with publishing communications about all events in a timely manner.
- Assist with managing the program’s Facebook, Instagram and Website platforms.
- Draft the program’s semester newsletter.
- Draft welcome newsletter to incoming cohort.
- Keep in engagement with alumni to update website.
- Assist the faculty with scholarship projects.
50% of weekly time may include:
- Assist with class preparation, including set up, lab setup, clean up according to needs of faculty
- Provide assistance and support for the Occupational Therapy Program, as needed
- Assist with admissions and recruitment responsibilities:
- Meet with prospective students
- Attend interviews for OT program applicants
- Attend University and Departmental Open Houses as requested, including those on Saturdays/Sundays during the trimesters
- Attend and assist with special events
- Attend and assist with Pre-OT Club activities and events, as requested
Knowledge & Skills Needed
- First-Year Master of Science in Occupational Therapy student
- Excellent writing skills
- Good computer skills and proficient with all social media literacy skills, inclusive of Canva, Sway and updating OT activities in a timely manner
- Ability to work with little oversight
- Organized, responsible, reliable
- Attention to detail
