Programming Coordinator, SHU Theatre Operations

October 25, 2021 - June 30, 2022

Primary Role

Primary support role for all programming and scheduling activity for theatre events, including, but not limited to, coordinating event bookings, support for talent services, content tracking, licensing and program information.

  • Part-Time (20 hours/week)
  • Compensation:
    • $10,000 tuition waiver
    • $2,600 stipend

Unusual Working Conditions

Independent, satellite off-campus venue, requiring evening and weekend hours

Principal Duties & Responsibilities

  • Scheduling and tracking all theatre events, performers, staffing requirements and enhanced audience experience.
  • Design/update/reconcile all calendar scheduling events and communication
  • Creation and regular coordination of theatre planning and public scheduling including aligning all aspects of event execution from preliminary outreach, coordination and distribution information for all day-to-day activities and patron engagement

Knowledge & Skills Needed

  • Detail oriented with proficiency with Excel and InDesign
  • General understanding and interest in cinema studies and performing arts
  • Position requires attention to detail, outgoing personality and strategic work ethic to help build a new, exciting programming vision and coordinate its fulfillment and success

SHU Theatre Operations Media Coordinator

Dates

July 5, 2021 to June 30, 2022

Primary Role

Primary support role for social media content and marketing promoting theatre activity and community outreach, including website design and management of all, during theatre events.

  • Part-Time (20 hours/week)
  • Compensation:
    • $10,000 tuition waiver

    • PR/Marketing
    • Business

Principal Duties & Responsibilities

  • Management and updating of all website and social media content
  • Development of community and industry outreach initiatives designed to increase awareness of all events and promote virtual and venue attendance
  • Coordinating content scheduling and delivery of screening materials
  • Support Programming Coordinator and events activity

Knowledge & Skills Needed

  • Proficiency with all social media platforms
  • Website design and management
  • Creative promotion and graphics experience a must
  • Ability to create compelling marketing outreach and engagement strategies

SHU Theatre Technical Coordinator

Dates

July 5, 2021 to June 30, 2022

Primary Role

Primary support role for all faculty equipment installation and technical operations of all program activity during theatre events.

  • Part-Time (25 hours/week)
  • Compensation:
    • $10,000 tuition waiver
    • $5,000 stipend
  • Academic Program Required/Preferred: FTMA
  • Supervision of Personnel: 2 Technical Assistants/Interns

Independent, satellite off-campus venue, requiring evening and weekend hours.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities

  • Shadowing, documenting and creating equipment SOP's during installation
  • Creating a facility operating manual and training protocol for other tech coordinators
  • Overseeing/providing the technical support for performances and screening events
  • Coordinating content scheduling and delivery of screening materials
  • Support Programming Coordinator and events activity

Knowledge & Skills Needed

  • Enrolled in graduate Film Studies/Media Production/Performing Arts
  • Working experience with all forms of digital media management, production and staging
  • Willingness to learn and grow with the theatre activity in ever increasing and challenging new ways
