Complete the FAFSA

- Visit FAFSA to register and complete the application online
- Use the U.S. Department of Education's Pro Tips to help you successfully complete the FAFSA form.
- The Financial Aid Direct Data Exchange (FA-DDX) will transfer contributors’ federal tax information from the IRS directly into your FAFSA form. All contributors must provide consent and approval to have their federal tax information transferred into the FAFSA form in order for the student to be eligible for federal aid.
- Priority deadline is March 15
Financial Aid Renewal
- You must maintain Satisfactory Academic Progress
- You must be registered for a full-time course load for the upcoming semester
- If you will be registered as a Full-Time to Part-Time student, visit our website to see how your financial aid may be affected.
- You must demonstrate continued financial need for renewal of need-based aid
- You must have completed the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)
- You must maintain the specific required cumulative GPA for renewal of merit-based scholarship aid

Your SHU Awards Account
Login information remains the same from year to year. You will log in using your 7-digit Student ID number and PIN. If you have forgotten your PIN, select "Forgot Your PIN?" in the log in box for it to be emailed to you.
As a returning student, you may do the following via SHU Awards:
- view your financial assistance award(s) by semester
- accept, reduce, or decline your award(s)
- confirm the status of your financial assistance documents
- review important messaging related to your award(s)
- view your federal loan history from the National Student Loan Database (NSLDS)
