The mission of the Sacred Heart English Language Institute is to provide excellent instruction in English as a Second Language (ESL) and orientation in US culture to all students who are non-native speakers of English, to help them achieve their personal, academic and professional goals, while recognizing and addressing the students’ individualized educational needs and cultural backgrounds.

Sacred Heart University's English Language Institute Daytime IEP is accredited by the Commission on English Language Program Accreditation for the period April 2019 through April 2028 and agrees to uphold the CEA Standards for English Language Programs and Institutions.
