In alignment with both the Sacred Heart University (SHU) and the School of Social Work (SSW) mission statements, the Continuing Education Credit Program (CECP) offers courses, workshops and postgraduate certificate programs to individuals and organizations throughout the human service field.
The purpose of CECP is to grow and support our field of practice. SHU SSW CECP focuses on the advancement of anti-racist and anti-oppressive practices, theory and evidence-based skill development, promoting the application and understanding of new areas of research, the advancement of critical thinking among practitioners and decision-makers and enhancing leadership skills for supervisors, managers and administrators. Our CECP program is evidence-based, skills-oriented and tailored to focus on contemporary practice issues while using an interdisciplinary focus and integrated social work perspective.
This program meets the continuing education criteria for CT social work licensure renewal. The School of Social Work is authorized through the NASW/CT chapter to provide CEUs for attendance and participation in our workshops and trainings. If you are licensed outside of CT, please refer to your state’s licensing board requirement. A certificate will be sent to you following the training.
Events are free to attend.
