Preceptors

Preceptors are invaluable educational partners with Sacred Heart’s Davis & Henley College of Nursing who help students apply the knowledge and skills gained in their courses and simulation experiences to hands-on care for individuals and their families. Preceptors serve as role models, demonstrating the clinical and professional expertise required for nurses to practice to the full extent of their education and training.

Becoming a Preceptor

Thank you for your interest in serving as a preceptor for our family nurse practitioner students. As our program continues to grow, we are always seeking qualified preceptors to partner with us. We have students located all over the country, with particular need for preceptors in Connecticut, New Jersey, Massachusetts and Rhode Island. At this time, students are not able to complete FNP clinical hours in the state of New York.

Complete our brief inquiry form if you are interested in precepting for us and we will contact you shortly.
