Undergraduate Scholarships
Isabelle T. Farrington Scholarship
Available to students in the junior or senior class at Sacred Heart University who possesses:
- superior academic performance and potential by ranking in the top 10 percent of their respective class
- sincere interest in, and practice of, the principles of citizenship and religion on which Sacred Heart University has been established as a Catholic institution of higher learning
Scholarship amounts will vary each year.
Sandra Lynn Nobili Scholarship
This award is given to a Catholic student entering senior year at Sacred Heart University and planning a career in elementary education. The recipient must have a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or higher. Scholarship amounts will vary each year.
Lucy Medaglia Scholarship
Awarded to a full-time undergraduate student in an education-related major, with a 3.0 or higher GPA, and an interest in becoming a teacher. Scholarship amounts will vary each year.
Graduate Scholarships
Dr. Thomas Pepe Scholarship
Awarded to a Sacred Heart University graduate student who have completed at least one term toward an MAT degree or Sixth-Year Degree who will be attending in the fall semester. Must have a 3.0 or higher GPA and be accepted into an education graduate program at Sacred Heart University.
Scholarship amounts will vary each year. Essay required.
Federal Grants
TEACH Grant
The Teacher Education Assistance for College and Higher Education (TEACH) Grant Program provides a grant in assistance to students who are completing or who plan to complete coursework required for a career in teacher. Students who have been admitted to the Farrington College of Education & Human Development with sophomore standing or higher are invited to apply. Also available for graduate study.
Noyce Scholarship Program
Federal grant. Awarded to juniors and seniors who seek Secondary Math or Biology certification. The scholarship continues to one year of graduate school.
