At the start of their Pioneer journey, freshman business students begin working with a professional academic adviser, who helps them navigate the nuances of their first year in the Jack Welch College of Business & Technology (WCBT). These advisers are available during business hours (and often beyond!). After freshman year, business students are assigned to a faculty member in their major. Students can learn more about their discipline and available internships, in addition to making industry connections and finding mentors to guide them to their next steps.
All computer science and engineering students are advised by full-time faculty in their major for the duration of their time at Sacred Heart.

The Student Advising & Success team will host registration training sessions every semester. You must attend one to learn how to register or you can follow the video below with the steps. You should map out all of your required courses in Student Planning. You will need at least 120 credits to earn your degree and to have completed all your required courses. Major and minor courses need a grade of C or higher. For most students, the 120 credits include elective courses.
Use Student Planning & Advising (SPA) to find extra electives that you can take to add up to the 120 total credits. This video guide can help you learn how to search for electives.
Major checksheets provide a list of the courses you need to graduate, along with a suggested sequence of study if you wish to graduate in four years. If you have a different timeline, check with your academic adviser.
