SHU Announces New Director of Enrollment Operations

Wade Hyatt is well prepared after holding other posts in admissions for five years

Sacred Heart University has promoted Wade Hyatt, MBA ’22, to director of enrollment operations, overseeing the department’s functions and addressing its needs and challenges. He also will collaborate with other departments to manage initiatives, procedures and activities related to all admission operations.

After joining SHU in 2017 as an admissions counselor, Hyatt quickly advanced and took on more responsibilities. In the ensuing years, he was promoted to assistant director, associate director and director of admissions.

He has a number of goals for his new role. “I am excited to have this opportunity to use the experience I’ve gained over the last five years and to have a positive impact on the counselors who are going out and recruiting for the first or second time,” he said.

Hyatt has long felt a special bond with SHU. He grew up near SHU and admired its sports teams. When the time came to determine his future, he decided the University would be the perfect place to start his career. “As I watched the University’s tremendous growth over the years, I felt that SHU would help me grow,” he said.

Hyatt earned a bachelor’s degree in communications at the University of Connecticut in 2015 and a master’s degree in business administration from SHU in May.
