Mission
The mission of the Sacred Heart University Management department is to contribute to the development of mindful and innovative leaders for business and society.
We aim to educate the future generation of global leaders to be aware of and concerned about the impact they will have on the “triple bottom line”—people, profitability and the planet.
We do so by placing an emphasis on active and engaged learning, which we believe:
- fosters ethical decision-making and interdisciplinary skills;
- sparks creativity and resourcefulness;
- emphasizes the critical importance of “soft skills” and teamwork as being complementary and additive to more discipline-specific skills;
- increases connections to the greater business community;
- demonstrates the intrinsic rewards derived from service to one’s community; and
- underscores respect for cultural differences that exist in organizational life and a globalized world.
