Welcome to the Davis & Henley College of Nursing (DHCON) community. This informative session will help first-year students begin their journey with confidence. Students will meet the nursing, science, and math course coordinators; learn about academic progression and expectations; and explore valuable course resources available throughout the program. Following this overview, students will meet their peer mentor for small group discussions and activities with academic advisers and faculty mentors.

9 a.m. | Welch College of Business & Technology Academic Session | West Campus
Meet at the Edgerton Center for the Performing Arts for shuttle pick up to West Campus starting at 9 a.m. Students can check their SHU email for information about when their major/program is scheduled to start. From there, get a tour of the college and meet with your Welch mentor, peers, faculty, and staff to better understand expectations, courses, available resources, and more! Shuttles will begin bringing students back to the Park Avenue Campus at 11:30 a.m., with the last shuttle departing West Campus at 12:15 p.m.

This interactive session will offer first-year students in the College of Arts & Sciences a head start on their Sacred Heart University college careers. First-year students will meet with first-year academic advisers, receive pointers on preparing for the academic realities of college, and have an opportunity to have their questions answered and concerns addressed.

Move to Heal: More Than Exercise is an interactive wellness outreach event designed to introduce students to the unique mission of Move to Heal, a program that combines movement, mental health support, and meaningful connection in a welcoming and inclusive environment. Through conversation, activities, and opportunities to engage with facilitators and peers, students will learn how Move to Heal promotes emotional well-being, stress reduction, community building, and self-care beyond traditional fitness spaces. This event aims to help students discover supportive ways to care for both minds and bodies as they transition into the fall 2026 semester.
