What are the First 50 Days?
The First 50 Days began in 2019 as a way to connect first-year students to the campus community right away. Since its start, the First 50 Days has hosted over 2,800 events, averaging more than 400 events per year. These events, while a great tool for first-year students on campus, are open to everyone in all class years! With events ranging from academic to social or service orientated in nature, there is something for everyone.
The First 50 Days aims to connect students to one another and their campus community and encourage exploration through shared interests. Whether you are away from home for the first time, or finishing up your time at SHU, there is always something new to try and more people to meet. Through a robust schedule of events, the First 50 Days leaves students feeling more confident and connected on Day 50 than they did on Day 1.
