The Final Four Awards

Every year, students and members of the SHU community have the privilege and opportunity to work with and learn from the many faculty, administrators, staff and graduate assistants who make up our vibrant campus.

The Final Four Awards give our community the opportunity to recognize individuals who have impacted our lives, strengthened our sense of belonging and made a lasting difference at Sacred Heart University. Through this celebration, we honor the dedication, mentorship and service of those whose commitment reflects the mission and values of SHU—and, most importantly, provides us the opportunity to say thank you.

The Final Four Awards recognize outstanding contributions across four categories:

• Faculty — for their dedication to teaching, mentorship and academic excellence that inspires student growth and learning.
• Administrators — for their leadership, vision and commitment to advancing the mission and strategic priorities of the University.
• Staff — for their daily support, service and behind-the-scenes efforts that strengthen our campus community.
• Graduate Assistants — for their mentorship, leadership and meaningful contributions that enhance the student experience.

Together, these awards celebrate those who have made a lasting difference at SHU and offer our community the opportunity to say thank you.

• Each member of the SHU community may only nominate one person from each of the four categories below.
• Winners of the last 3 years are not eligible to receive the award in that category.
• Nominees must have worked here a minimum of two (2) years with the exception of the Graduate Assistant Award

Final Four Award recipients are chosen by a committee of student leaders who thoughtfully review each nomination and application and announced at the Campus Life Leadership Award ceremony.
