Inactive Club/Organization Renewal Process
Inactive clubs and organizations that wish to regain active status must complete the renewal process. This ensures the organization is aligned with current university policies, expectations and engagement standards.
Please note: This process does not apply to clubs or organizations that became inactive due to disciplinary actions or removal from the Council of Clubs & Organizations (CCO). Those groups must follow the reinstatement procedures outlined by the CCO.
Eligibility for Renewal
A club/organization is considered inactive if it has not:
- Hosted events or meetings
- Maintained an accurate roster
- Submitted required re-registration or leadership transition materials within the current or previous academic term
If Renewal Occurs Within the Same Academic Year
If the organization seeks to return to active status in the same academic year that it became inactive, it does not need to reapply as a new club or seek student senate approval.
If Renewal Occurs After a Full Academic Year
If the organization has been inactive for more than one full academic year, it must reapply as a new club, including completing the new club application and undergoing senate review and approval.
Follow up
To reactivate a previous club or organization, email cco@sacredheart.edu to notify Student Involvement of the renewal intent. Inactive clubs may not host events, meetings or reserve spaces until the renewal process is completed.
