Faith in Action LLC

The Faith in Action Living & Learning Community (LLC) offers ample opportunities for students to connect with peers in a community that values faith-driven service to the local community.

Building upon Sacred Heart University’s mission to educate students in mind, bod, and spirit, the Faith in Action LLC will provide a yearlong residential experience through which students will earn academic credit.

In collaboration with faculty, faith leaders, local parishes and other students, this program is dedicated to helping students grow in their faith tradition while making a substantial impact with our neighbors in need.

Rooted in the Catholic intellectual tradition and the liberal arts, Sacred Heart University fosters an open and welcoming atmosphere for students of all religious backgrounds. The leaders of the Faith in Action LLC will be closely connected with Catholic priests, interfaith chaplains and spiritual leaders who are part of the vibrant, on-campus Campus Ministry Team.

As part of this community, students will live with others who share their interest in putting their values into action, have opportunities for personal, academic and occupational development through their residence halls, and connect with faculty, staff and local community members who can help students grow in their faith journey. Students will be expected to attend at least five weekly events each semester.

Housing Information

We are looking for students who are enthusiastic and excited to join the program. There are a limited number of slots available. Students can request a roommate, but all residents of the Faith in Action LCC must also apply and be accepted in the program individually. Specific assignments are made by the housing staff.

Cost

$350 per semester

How to Apply

Complete the online application by June 20, 2025. Students must also complete the University Housing Application.
