FAQs

A commuter student is anyone who does not reside in any SHU-owned residential hall, either on or off campus.

If you are interested in taking the SHU Shuttle to Bridgeport Transit Station, you can meet the shuttle at the shuttle loop in front of the Edgerton Center for the Performing Arts. Amtrak and Metro-North Railroad train services are available at the Bridgeport station.

Commuter students with a valid permit may park in nonresident student parking lots (no overnight parking is allowed).

Commuter students can park in nonresident student parking areas, which are designated with the “C” in a circle.  Commuters may also park in the South Garage on the Park Avenue Campus and the West Garage at West Campus, including the upper and lower and designated surface lots and parking spaces.

By downloading the Ride Systems App (Apple and Android compatible), you can follow the shuttle in real time!
