Pioneer Planner Event Registration
How to Submit an Event to the Pioneer Planner Calendar
You should book the space at least two weeks in advance.
- Go to www.sacredheart.edu/pioneerplanner
- Login using your SHU credentials
- Select the type of event (Event, Meeting, Tabling, Off-Campus or Virtual)
- Always select “Book now”
- Always select “Book now”
- Select the date
- If this is a recurring event you can select recurrence then a calendar will come up select the recurring dates with the same times.

- Start/end times.
- Select the location
- If the location you requested is not available let the system show you what rooms are available select the one that meets your need.
- Areas in gray mean the room is not available.
- Always add your request to the system
- Number attendance
- Select the location (building)
- Select room arrangements
- Always add your arrangement to the system.
- Select equipment needs
- Always add your equipment to the system.
- Your login will automatically select your status (employee or student)
- Fill in the primary and secondary contact
- Select define fields. Please complete all fields.
- Food at events must be provided through Chartwells If you wish to have an outside food vendor, please review the SHU Outside Food Safety Policy.
- Submit the request
- An email will be sent to you
- Once your request is submitted, it goes through a review by a number of offices, (Public Safety, Student Union, Student Activities, Greek Life, etc.) You may receive communication from one of these areas if they have further questions.
- You will be able to see your bookings in Pioneer Planner under “My Bookings”. The status of your event will be located there.
