How to Submit an Event to the Pioneer Planner Calendar

You should book the space at least two weeks in advance.

  1. Go to www.sacredheart.edu/pioneerplanner
  2. Login using your SHU credentials
  3. Select the type of event (Event, Meeting, Tabling, Off-Campus or Virtual)
    • Always select “Book now”

  4. Select the date
    • If this is a recurring event you can select recurrence then a calendar will come up select the recurring dates with the same times.

  5. Start/end times.
  6. Select the location
    • If the location you requested is not available let the system show you what rooms are available select the one that meets your need.
    • Areas in gray mean the room is not available.
    • Always add your request to the system

  7. Number attendance
  8. Select the location (building)
  9. Select room arrangements
    • Always add your arrangement to the system.
  10. Select equipment needs
    • Always add your equipment to the system.
  11. Your login will automatically select your status (employee or student)
  12. Fill in the primary and secondary contact
  13. Select define fields. Please complete all fields.
  14. Submit the request
  15. An email will be sent to you
  16. Once your request is submitted, it goes through a review by a number of offices, (Public Safety, Student Union, Student Activities, Greek Life, etc.) You may receive communication from one of these areas if they have further questions.
  17. You will be able to see your bookings in Pioneer Planner under “My Bookings”.  The status of your event will be located there.
