Fall 2025 Move-Out Information
Winter break sign up will be available after Thanksgiving break
Thanksgiving Break
Residence halls close on Wednesday, November 26, 2025, at 10 a.m. Residence halls will reopen on Sunday, November 30, 2025, at 10 a.m.
Residential students who need to stay in the residence halls during Thanksgiving break must sign up for break housing by end of day on Sunday, November 23, 2025. There is no charge to stay in the residence halls for Thanksgiving break. During Thanksgiving break, the University is closed and not all services (SHUttle, dining, etc.) are fully functional. Public safety is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
Information on how to register for Thanksgiving break housing will be sent to residential students via email the week of November 10, 2025.
Winter Break
Residence halls close on Sunday, December 14, 2025, at 10 a.m. Residence halls will reopen for the spring semester on Monday, January 19, 2026, at 10 a.m.
Residential students who need to stay in the residence halls after December 14, 2025, must sign up for late stay housing by Monday, December 8, 2025. Sign up information will be available beginning Monday, December 1, 2025. Residential students are only permitted to remain on campus for University-sanctioned reasons (in-season D1 athletics, campus work, University-approved internship). Not all services on campus (SHUttle, dining, etc.) are fully functional during the break period. Public safety is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The University is closed Wednesday, December 24, 2025, through Thursday, January 1, 2026.
Important Dates for Fall 2025 Semester
- Monday, November 3: Last day to withdraw from a class
- November 26 to November 30: Thanksgiving break (no classes - residence halls closed until 10 a.m. on Nov. 30)
- Monday, December 8: Last day of classes
- Tuesday, December 9 - Saturday, December 13: Final exams
- Sunday, December 14: Residence halls close for winter break at 10 a.m.
Important Dates for Spring 2026 Semester
- Monday, January 19: Move-in begins at 10 a.m.
- Tuesday, January 20: Classes begin
- Monday, January 29: Last day to add/drop
- Saturday, February 28 - Sunday, March 8: spring break
- Residence halls close at 10 a.m. on Saturday, February 28, and reopen at 10 a.m. on Sunday, March 8
- Monday, March 30: Last day to withdraw from a class
- Friday, April 3 - Monday, April 6: Easter break (residence halls remain open)
- Monday, April 27: Last day of classes
- Tuesday, April 28 - Monday, May 4: Final exams
- Tuesday, May 5: Residence halls close at 10 a.m. for summer break
