Application Process
Initial Application
- Contact your Education Service Officer (ESO) prior to applying
- Apply for VA Education Benefits through va.gov
- Submit the following to the School Certifying Official (SCO) in the Registrar’s Office:
- Certificate of Eligibility (COE) or eBenefits Statement (The VA will provide once your application has been approved)
- DD-214 Form (Member 4 copy) – Discharge paperwork if applicable
- Register for courses
- Submit the VA Enrollment Certification Request Form to the primary SCO
Transfer of Benefits from Another School
- Complete VA Form 22-1995 – Request for Change of Program or Place of Training
- Submit the following to the School Certifying Official (SCO) in the Registrar’s Office:
- Certificate of Eligibility (COE) or eBenefits Statement (The VA will provide once your application has been approved.)
- DD-214 Form – Discharge paperwork if applicable to the benefits Chapter
- Register for courses
- Submit the VA Enrollment Certification Request Form to the primary SCO
