Application Process

Initial Application

  • Contact your Education Service Officer (ESO) prior to applying
  • Apply for VA Education Benefits through va.gov
  • Submit the following to the School Certifying Official (SCO) in the Registrar’s Office:
    • Certificate of Eligibility (COE) or eBenefits Statement (The VA will provide once your application has been approved)
    • DD-214 Form (Member 4 copy) – Discharge paperwork if applicable
  • Register for courses
  • Submit the VA Enrollment Certification Request Form to the primary SCO

Transfer of Benefits from Another School

  • Complete VA Form 22-1995 – Request for Change of Program or Place of Training
  • Submit the following to the School Certifying Official (SCO) in the Registrar’s Office:
    • Certificate of Eligibility (COE) or eBenefits Statement (The VA will provide once your application has been approved.)
    • DD-214 Form – Discharge paperwork if applicable to the benefits Chapter
  • Register for courses
  • Submit the VA Enrollment Certification Request Form to the primary SCO
