Message from the Executive Director
As executive director, it is my privilege to welcome you to the Agape Center for Human Dignity. This is more than just a space on campus, it is a community rooted in respect, where all students can discover their voice, celebrate who they are and connect with others. Our mission is to ensure that every student can grow, belong and thrive, not only during their time at Sacred Heart University but also as they prepare to make an impact beyond this institution.
At the Agape Center, we walk alongside students on their Pioneer Journey, supporting them socially, academically and developmentally. Through our Unity Clubs, programs, the Pioneer Pantry and partnerships with faculty and staff, we provide resources and experiences that foster purpose, character and mutual respect for others. We believe that college is not just about gaining knowledge, but about developing the whole person and preparing young adults to step into the world with confidence, compassion and a clear sense of their calling.
I invite you to get involved by joining a Unity Club, attending an event, volunteering at the Pioneer Pantry or simply stopping by our office or center to connect. The Agape Center exists for you, and I look forward to seeing the ways you will use your gifts, pursue your passions and leave a lasting impact on SHU.
Warmly,
Robert Johnson ’16, ’17
