Bring ESTEEM To Your College or University

Campus ministries, university parishes, and other communities interested in bringing ESTEEM to their campus ministries can schedule a conversation with our national coordinator at peronen@sacredheart.edu.

Our Process for Partnering with a Site

  1. Mutual discernment conversation scheduled with national coordinator
  2. Application form completed
  3. Invoice issued
  4. Paired with “Mentor Leader”
  5. Invited to monthly partner calls

Expectations

What can you expect when you bring ESTEEM to your campus ministry?

  • Continued support on all matters related to their implementation of ESTEEM
  • Ongoing consultation, advocacy, and support
  • Connection to a network of ministers in monthly leader calls
  • Resources and materials, including but not limited to:
    • Updated and current sessions and site materials
    • Resources for mentors and mentee
    • Certificates of completion
  • Coordination of the Capstone Conference

What will be expected of you?

  • Establishing an ESTEEM cohort, including selection of students and organized, frequent meetings
  • Matching students with local mentors
  • Establishing a sense of commitment to ESTEEM among cohort members
  • Attending and participating in monthly leader calls
  • Coordinating Capstone Conference attendees and providing all necessary information for bookings
  • Record-keeping for the transition from current students to alumni

“Pathways to Communion” Lilly Endowment Grant

Led by the McGrath Institute for Church Life at the University of Notre Dame and funded by a $10 million grant through Lilly Endowment Inc.'s National Youth and Young Adult Initiative, the Pathways to Communion project supports ESTEEM as we work to expand our support to current campuses and extend our network of campuses nationwide. Over the five-year project, ESTEEM will engage in a cohort of organizations working to impact the faith lives of young adults through the support of the McGrath Institute's expert guidance in program evaluation and improvement.

ESTEEM will expand its programmatic support and select 10 small liberal arts colleges to initiate ESTEEM on their campuses, enhancing service experiences through leadership formation and reflection opportunities, cultivating a sense of servant-leadership among the young adult participants. ESTEEM will supply financial and pastoral support to those sites to make the programmatic experience robust and enriching, as well as remove as many resource-based limitations as possible. That cohort will also be integrated into the regular life of the ESTEEM program, connected to a national network of campuses and experiences.
