Wednesday, September 9, 2026, at 2 p.m. | Chapel of the Holy Spirit

Everyone is welcome and encouraged to attend as we pray for our minds to be enlightened this new academic year. This liturgy offers the entire community an opportunity to contemplate how the Spirit is working in each of us and how to best share that inherent goodness with those we encounter on our individual journeys.

Sacred Heart & the Mass of the Holy Spirit

This meaningful Mass has taken place annually since Sacred Heart University’s founding, with a pause in recent years due to limits on large gatherings. The Mass of the Holy Spirit has unique significance to the Sacred Heart community as the University was founded after the Second Vatican Council, which came about via the inspiration of Pope John XXIII (Angelo Roncalli) to open the windows of the Church and allow the much-needed fresh air of the Spirit to blow through.
