Information for Student Observers/Assistants

Training Modules

• Prior to any observation or direct contact with a patient, ALL students must complete the Health Information Privacy & Security CITI training module
• Sexual Misconduct Prevention Training (one-time, on-campus training session organized by Title IX Coordinator) is also required. A certificate showing proof of completion OR the course equivalent must be provided.

If you are currently a SLP graduate student (two-year track only) you have already fulfilled the requirements above upon entering the program.

Confidentiality Agreement

All students must agree and sign the Confidentiality Agreement.

Observation Hours

All SLP undergraduate students must complete 25 observation hours prior to working with directly with a patient.

All forms must be completed and sent directly to Ciara Leydon, Ph.D., CCC-SLP prior to your scheduled observation.
