Raymond Turner, MD, ’98

Raymond Turner, MD, graduated with a biology degree from Sacred Heart University in 1998, where he was also a leader on the men’s baseball team. He often recalls memorable moments with teammates and life on campus during his time at SHU.
After graduation, Turner earned his medical degree in Poznan, Poland, and completed advanced training in neurological surgery at the Cleveland Clinic. He later trained in endovascular neurosurgery and spent more than a decade at the Medical University of South Carolina, serving as residency program director and chief of neurosciences.
In 2025, he became corporate vice president and chief medical officer at Integra LifeSciences, a publicly traded medical device company based in Princeton, New Jersey.
A nationally recognized leader in neurosurgery, Turner serves as a lead examiner for the American Board of Neurological Surgery and has authored more than 150 peer-reviewed publications. He lives in Greenville, South Carolina, with his wife, Magdalena, and their three children.
