SHU Alum is New Darien Police Chief
Jeremiah P. Marron, Jr., to be sworn in on April 12 as town’s 12th chief
Sacred Heart University alum Jeremiah P. Marron, Jr., is the new police chief of the Darien Police Department. He assumed the role on April 1 and will be officially sworn in later this month.
Marron has worked at the Darien Police Department for nearly 30 years. He became a patrol officer in 1996, a sergeant in 2006, a lieutenant in 2017 and a captain in 2019. According to a release put out by the Darien Police Department, “the police commission is highly confident that Captain Marron will continue to serve the Town of Darien and police department with excellence, integrity and professionalism in his new role.”
Marron received his bachelor’s degree in criminal justice from SHU in 2014.
