Sacred Heart University senior Sheldon Wright is already building a powerful presence in the marketing and custom apparel world.
The business management major and digital marketing minor from Ho-Ho-Kus, NJ, owns and operates Just 33, a marketing, design and printing company he launched in June of 2020 at the height of the COVID-19 pandemic when he was 16 years old. He celebrates the business’s five-year anniversary this year.
Wright first discovered his passion for marketing in high school when he enrolled in a graphic design class to fulfill an art requirement. What began as small-scale social media marketing for local restaurants, many of which depended on takeout during the pandemic, quickly evolved. Wright expanded into graphic design, custom apparel, signage and other branding materials.

His company has since grown from supporting neighborhood businesses and schools to collaborating with major clients such as the BMW headquarters, the WNBA, Wonder and Pinterest.
Though he manages the company’s direction, Wright doesn’t do it alone. He credits his parents for being at the heart of Just 33’s operations, helping him balance the demands of being both a full-time high school and now college student and a business owner.
Wright said his coursework at Sacred Heart has strengthened his business acumen and prepared him to scale his company further. He emphasizes persistence and strong client relationships as the cornerstone of his success. After surpassing last year’s revenue by 60%, he is confident there will be even greater growth ahead, including expanding his team and potentially offering internships to SHU students.
“Building something of your own is all about consistency and connection,” Wright said. “If you stay committed, doors will open.”
