Pre-fall Programs Educate, Acclimate Freshmen
Nearly 300 first-year students came to Sacred Heart University a week early to participate in pre-fall programs. Each of the nine unique programs offered enriching experiences to freshmen. The programs also allowed students to meet and interact with peers before school officially began.

Programs included Behind the Curtain for freshmen passionate about theater; Community Connections, an Office of Volunteer Services & Program Learning initiative that allows students to immerse themselves in community service and urban issues; Lights, Camera, Action! for students looking to study communications and media arts; Mind Your Business for Jack Welch College of Business & Technology students; Start Strong, a program run by the Student Success Center that aims to help freshmen fully prepare for a successful first year of college; Pre-Fall Dance Intensive for students enrolled in the dance program; A Week of Wellness, which helps College of Health Professions Students explore the seven dimensions of wellness; Caring Hands, Caring Hearts: A Journey Towards Success for first-year nursing students and Acclimating to Biology, a program offered through the College of Arts & Sciences for freshmen with interests in biology.
