With a master’s degree in organizational development & psychology (ODP), you’ll be equipped to create happy, healthy workplace environments, contributing to employee wellbeing and company success. You’ll probably be happier, too. Psychology is a fast-growing field with demand projected to continue through 2034. This field offers challenging work, a solid work-life balance, and opportunities for advancement.

More good news: Career paths are incredibly varied in this field. Here are five that you might pursue.

Talent Management Specialist

As a talent management specialist, you’ll implement programs to attract and manage a business or organization’s talent pool. Unlike recruiters who are focused on sourcing suitable candidates as quickly as possible, the talent management specialist strives to find suitable candidates who have the required skills and are the right fit for the company’s role. This specialist might also identify candidates with the potential to grow with the company and develop into future roles.

Organizational Development Consultant

Have a knack for making things run smoothly? An organizational development consultant provides expert guidance and advice to help businesses improve efficiency, enhance operations and drive profitability without cutting personnel or departments.

Training and Development Specialist

A training and development specialist creates, administers and delivers training programs for businesses and organizations, tailoring individualized programs by first assessing the specific needs of an organization.

Scientific Researcher or Data Analyst

Many use a master’s degree in this discipline to continue research or gain knowledge and insights through data analysis that contribute real solutions for the private and public sector environments and industry.

Executive Coach

Executive coaches use their background in psychology and aspects of teaching, facilitation, and mediation to train leaders how to run their teams and teach them how to be better employees. As with other ODP careers, you might find yourself in a consulting role for an exciting variety of clients.
