Jen Melanson

Jennifer Melanson is the Community Services Coordinator for the Town of Chelmsford, Massachusetts. Jen earned her MSW from Regis College, where she served as an officer with the school’s chapter of the Phi Alpha honor society and as a student ambassador to the Massachusetts chapter of the NASW. She also holds a BS in Human Services from Fitchburg State University. Her expertise is in community-based social work, policy, and advocacy, as well as medical social work. Jen’s research interests are focused on medical trauma. Jen was recently appointed as Chair to both the Products and Practice Resources Committee and the Policy and Advocacy Committee with the Society for Social Work Leadership in Healthcare (SSWLHC). She enjoys cooking, being active outdoors and spending time with her family, including her husband, three children, and three Brittany spaniels.
