All applicants must:

  • Be in the final semester of a Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE) accredited Doctor of Physical Therapy program, have successfully completed a CAPTE accredited professional physical therapy curriculum or have had their first professional physical therapy program approved by a state physical therapy board as “equivalent” to a U.S. CAPTE accredited professional physical therapy program.
  • Be eligible for physical therapy licensure in Connecticut
  • Applicants that have been previously licensed in Connecticut or other states may not have a license under suspension, revocation, probationary status or investigation for disciplinary proceedings or inquiry.
  • Be eligible to meet the requirements of full-time employment listed in Connecticut Children’s job description of physical therapy resident staff positions, which includes successful completion of a drug test, background check, occupational health screening, CPR certification (American Heart Association, Basic Life Support (BLS) for the healthcare provider)
  • Demonstrate appropriate knowledge for entry-level pediatric physical therapy practice

All applicants must submit a completed online application, 2 letters of reference and a curriculum vitae with cover letter in order to be considered for the program.

Admission Deadline

The deadline for receipt of application and supporting materials is January 16, 2026. This program does participate in a match process. See the online application link for more information. Admissions committee will review the files and conduct interviews by invitation shortly after.
