Mission

The Master of nutrition program at Sacred Heart University prepares graduates to become competent, compassionate Registered Dietitian Nutritionists who advance health and well-being across diverse communities. Through innovative, interprofessional, and person-centered education, the program emphasizes experiential learning, ethical practice, and a commitment to lifelong learning in a dynamic health care environment.

  • At least 80% complete program requirements within 2 years
  • The program’s one-year pass rate (graduates who pass the registration exam within one year of first attempt) on the CDR credentialing exam for dietitian nutritionists is at least 80%
  • At least 80% of employers will be satisfied with the preparation and performance of graduates (including how it relates specifically to interprofessional collaboration and leadership)

Objectives

  • Of graduates who seek employment, at least 80% are employed in nutrition and dietetics or related fields within 12 months of graduation
  • At least 80% of employers will be satisfied with the preparation and performance of graduates (including how it relates specifically to interprofessional collaboration and leadership)
