Examines the structure, financing, and regulation of the U.S. healthcare system in comparison to global models. Emphasis on systems thinking, interprofessional leadership, and strategies for PA leaders to navigate evolving practice environments.

Health Policy & Advocacy for PAs - Introduces legislative and regulatory processes influencing PA practice. Students analyze current policy debates, develop advocacy strategies, and engage in applied exercises to prepare for effective leadership in professional organizations and health systems.

Evidence-Based Practice & Clinical Decision Making - Provides advanced training in the appraisal and synthesis of medical literature. Students apply evidence to clinical leadership problems, guideline development, and quality improvement initiatives.

Population & Public Health in Practice - Explores epidemiology, health disparities, and population health strategies relevant to PAs. Emphasis on community-based interventions, social determinants of health, and program design to improve patient and population outcomes.

Quality Improvement & Patient Safety - Focuses on continuous quality improvement (CQI) and safety science. Students apply root cause analysis, PDSA cycles, and outcome measurement tools to real-world practice problems.

Students identify a problem in practice, conduct a needs assessment, and design a scholarly project. Deliverables include a detailed proposal, IRB considerations if applicable, and a project management plan.

Students begin to execute their scholarly project, with interpretation of the data and peer review as focal points while finalizing plans for implementation.

Students continue to execute and complete their scholarly project, culminating in a manuscript or professional product suitable for publication or presentation. Emphasis on dissemination, translation into practice, and reflection on leadership growth.

Curriculum Design & Instructional Methods - Examines principles of curriculum development and instructional design in health professions education. Students develop a module or course plan integrating active learning strategies and evidence-based teaching methods

Assessment & Evaluation in Health Professions - Covers learner assessment, program evaluation, and accreditation standards. Students design assessment tools and evaluation plans for diverse learning environments.

Technology, Simulation, & Innovation in Teaching -Explores the use of digital tools, simulation, and innovative pedagogies in PA education. Students design technology-enhanced learning experiences and consider ethical and accessibility implications.

Advanced Clinical Practice Management - Covers leadership strategies in clinical operations, including workforce development, clinical efficiency, and patient experience. Students analyze case studies to propose solutions for real-world management challenges.

Healthcare Finance & Operations for Clinicians - Introduces healthcare finance, budgeting, and revenue cycle management tailored for clinical leaders. Students gain skills to evaluate operational decisions in terms of financial sustainability and quality outcomes

Leadership, Team Dynamics, & Change Management - Focuses on leading teams, resolving conflict, and driving organizational change. Students apply leadership theories and change models to complex healthcare environments.
