Social Justice
Make Your Voice Heard
Our program gives socially concerned students the opportunity to use their dedication as journalists and media professionals to make a difference. If you are passionate about social justice issues, you can you use your media skills as a catalyst for positive change. We encourage Investigative Journalism and responsible communication based on facts and solid reporting.
Journalism in all its multimedia forms can be a powerful voice. Our experienced faculty, state of the art facilities and flexible curriculum help the student develop the artistry and insight necessary to explore and document those stories that are important to them. It is all about finding your voice and using your craft to make the world a better place.
As part of the curriculum students will create powerful stories for Sacred Heart’s TV News Magazine Program, The Pulse.
There are fellowships available with WSHU Public Radio and internships with Vision Project, The Easton Courier News, Not-for-Profit Organizations and other news outlets that will jump start your career.
All of projects below were created by or incorporated our students during production.
