Caitlin O'KeefeCaitlin is currently a seventh grade social studies teacher at Bethel Middle School in Connecticut. Her past work includes a thesis that measured the impact of kinesthetic learning strategies on literacy scores in students at the middle school level. She received several awards, including Rookie Teacher of the Year, CCSS Excellence in Social Studies Education and awards for excellence in innovation for her work with programs she started such as Girl Up and National History Bowl. She is an active member of her school community and an advocate for SEL and culturally-responsive teaching. She is a busy mom of two to her sons Owen, 7, and Jameson, 4.
