Criteria to Progress to the Master of Science in Nutrition Program
Students must meet program-specific guidelines* to progress through the dual degree program and enroll in the MS nutrition program.
- Successful completion of the bachelor’s degree with a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher
- Successful completion of all required prerequisite courses with a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher
- 8 credits in Anatomy & Physiology I & II with lab
- 4 credits of General Biology I with lab
- 3-4 credits of Organic Chemistry or Biochemistry (with or without lab)
- 4 credits of General Chemistry with lab
- 3-4 credits of Microbiology (with or without lab)
- 3 credits of General Statistics
- 3 credits of Introduction to Nutrition
- Submission of an application through Dietetics Inclusive Centralized Application Services (DICAS) by January 15 of their senior year
- Applicants must provide a résumé or curriculum vitae (CV), a personal statement (750–1,000 words) outlining career goals and interest in becoming a registered dietitian nutritionist, and three letters of recommendation (typically two academic and one professional)
