In Sacred Heart University’s Doctor of Nursing Practice Family Nurse Practitioner program, bachelor’s prepared registered nurses can earn their practice doctorate and expand their qualifications. Upon graduation, candidates are eligible to take a national examination for certification as a family nurse practitioner. The Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) degree is a terminal degree for nursing.

Through the FNP DNP program, candidates learn to:

  • Provide comprehensive primary health care to patients across the lifespan
