WSHU Classical Music Production Assistant
What happens behind the scenes at a public radio station to play music on-air and online? How does WSHU foster connection through music across Connecticut and Long Island? Be part of the team who makes it happen as a WSHU classical music production assistant.
Candidates will be:
- Curious about classical music and musicians
- Excited about details with down-to-the-second specificity
- Committed to regular weekly hours
- Comfortable working independently and speaking up with questions as they arise
Location
All work takes place in person at WSHU Public Radio. There is not a remote work option.
Responsibilities
- Audio editing, including editing excerpts from podcasts for broadcast on air
- Researching and organizing information about upcoming concerts by performing arts organizations in Connecticut and Long Island
- Assisting the music production department in preparing daily classical music programming
- Maintaining organization in the CD library
- Preferred qualifications, though not required:
- Working towards a music degree at SHU
- Familiarity or open to learning Adobe Audition software

3 hours per week
