Student Assistant
The student in this position is responsible for performing general office duties in the speech, language & hearing sciences program in addition to assisting faculty.
Location
This position will require the student to be in person at the Center for Healthcare Education unless other arrangements are made (not a remote position).
Responsibilities
- Organizing and maintaining department files
- Assisting with creating department academic semester schedules and entering online textbook adoptions
- Assisting faculty with scanning and copying needs
- Regulating stock of department materials
- Creating flyers or online documents for advertising of department and community events
Expected Hours
6 hours per week, schedule to be determined once student's schedule is confirmed for each semester.
Research Assistant
This position will require the student to assist with various research-related tasks (stimuli creation, data collection, experiment management) for studies evaluating language and thinking skills in infants and toddlers.
Location
The student will be expected to work most of their hours in-person on campus at the Center for Healthcare Education. This position does offer remote work assignments.
Responsibilities
- Creating and editing experimental stimuli
- Coding behavioral data collected via online research studies
- Scoring behavioral assessments
- Data entry and data management for online research studies
- Recruiting participants for online studies and responding to participant emails
