Dance Program Ambassador
Students will be responsible for a multitude of job duties that support the day-to-day operations in the Dance Program, including but not limited to, office administration, tech and production assistance, and recruitment initiatives! Students should possess an interest in dance and/or the performing arts, with a can-do attitude and willingness to learn the integral operations within the Dance Program. This position will require in-person work hours and weekend availability preferred. Occasional remote tasks may occur.
Responsibilities
- Data entry for office documents and database record keeping
- Studio maintenance (i.e., sweeping, cleaning mirrors, cleaning cubbies, organizing closet materials)
- Production team assistance (i.e., working headset backstage, cleaning the dressing rooms, scanning QR codes, working on Q-lab)
- Assisting with recruitment events like open houses and auditions
- Running errands (i.e., dropoffs to or pickups from mailroom, cashier or copy center)
- Other duties as assigned

Performing Arts Recruitment Assistant
The Recruitment Data Work-Study helps the Performing Arts program by keeping track of student information and using data to improve recruitment. This role is great for students who like organizing, working with numbers, and finding patterns that can help the program grow.
Responsibilities/Job Requirements
- Keep recruitment and student data organized and up to date.
- Review data to spot trends in student interest and event participation.
- Create simple reports or charts to share findings with staff.
- Suggest ideas based on data to help improve recruitment efforts.
- May attend and help with recruitment events

Performing Arts Recruitment Content Creator
Performing Arts is looking for a student to create and manage social media content for our various social media platforms. This content will capture all four cohorts: Band & Orchestra, Choral, Dance and Theatre for recruitment purposes.
Responsibilities/Job Requirements
- Brainstorm, create and post University-appropriate content related to our Performing Arts program
- Develop engaging multimedia content: photos, videos, graphics and written posts that engages with prospective students
- Collaborate with recruitment directors to determine recruitment content and content schedule
- Promote performing arts events
- Capture performing arts events for social media content

Performing Arts Special Events Assistant
Performing Arts is looking for a student who has a passion for event planning and community building. This position would work with the Director of Performing Arts Recruitment to plan and implement activities that build camaraderie across all the performing arts cohorts: Band & Orchestra, Choral, Dance and Theatre.
Responsibilities/Job Requirements
- Plan, organize, and host social and community-building events that foster connection among dance, band, choir, and theatre cohorts.
- Collaborate with performing arts staff and student leaders to design engaging programming that encourages participation across disciplines.
- Manage event logistics such as scheduling, promotion, space setup, and day-of coordination.
- Gather feedback from participants to improve future events and strengthen cohort camaraderie.

Front of House Staff
Front of house staff (box office clerks, house managers, ushers) for the Edgerton Center for the Performing Arts. Positions involve dealing with fellow students, outside patrons and community members to ensure an enjoyable experience in our venue. Position does not offer remote work assignments.
Responsibilities/Job Requirements
House Manager
- Oversee event from start to finish
- Handle potential escalations
- Manage team of ushers
- Communicate with technical director and event requester during event
- Direct communication with patrons
Box Office Clerk
- Sell tickets for events
- Familiarity with handling money

- Pass out show programs
