Graduate Assistantship in Counselor Education
- Part-Time (20 hours/week)
- Compensation: $12,600

Principal Duties & Responsibilities
- Create and distribute marketing materials for CNE programs in collaboration with the CNE Communications Committee and ACEP contact to include admissions information, current student engagement initiatives and continuing education presentations.
- Research potential program admissions advertising pipelines to include SHU undergraduate
- Send targeted emails to identified undergraduate program coordinators advertising CNE programs
- Support program admissions through attendance at Open Houses, meeting with prospective students and tracking applicants to support the programs’ Admissions Committees
- Outreach to CNE alumni to include communicating upcoming events and program evaluation measures to include creation and distribution of alumni surveys
- Provide support to the Approved Continuing Education Provider (ACEP) administrator by tracking program attendance, creating and sending completion certificates to attendees, and maintaining the database of program offerings per NBCC ACEP requirements
- Assist in the creation of videos to support program marketing, student support and mock counseling sessions to be used in courses
- Support CMHC and SC CACREP accreditation through duties as assigned
- Other duties and projects related to the mission of the Farrington College of Education & Human Development
- Demonstrate professionalism, responsibility, punctuality and academic integrity
- Maintain privacy and confidentiality of student information
Knowledge & Skills Needed
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work autonomously and to seek guidance when necessary
- Ability to develop and maintain positive relationships with students, faculty and staff
- Enrolled as a matriculated graduate student in Counseling or other related field
Unusual Working Conditions

Reporting to the Assistant Dean of Academic Success, the Graduate Academic Advisor serves an advisor and academic success coach. The graduate student intern applies student development theory, learning theory and effective coaching techniques in working with students.

Project Future Marketing Assistant

Principal Duties & Responsibilities
Under the direction of the Project Director, Project Future co-Pls, and Project Future Coordinator you will provide assistance and support for project activities. This role will work collaboratively with other team members supporting Project {FUTURE}. This position is 15 hours/week, year-round, and renewable.
- Meet with Leadership team monthly to identify needs and opportunities for promotional communications
- Work closely with Project Director, co-PIs, Coordinator and identified Marketing Advisor to develop and produce marketing materials for Project Future
- Manage a schedule of social media and traditional media communications for the Project
- Assist with project activities at K-12 school sites including logistical support and taking photos
- Assist the Project Coordinator as needed
- Communicate frequently with the Project Director, co-PIs, and Coordinator
- Communicate regularly with Marquette University teammates
- Other activities as assigned by the Project Director
- Occasional Saturday and evening engagements as needed to be compensated through flex time
Required Qualifications
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Detail-oriented team player
- Self-starter who can identify marketing and communications needs and produce quality deliverables for distribution to partners and the press
- Interest in research and service projects
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with or willingness to learn about school settings, educational research, and/or computer science

- Assist the Project Coordinator as needed
- Work with the Project Coordinator to support the publication, distribution, and collection of surveys and other participant data
- Summarize the results of data requests from Project {FUTURE} Leadership Team, the Research/Analysis Team and the External Evaluator
- Notice trends in participant responses that can help the team improve our delivery of project activities
- Communicate regularly with Marquette University teammates
- Other activities as assigned by the Project Director

Graduate Assistant for Educational Leadership
The purpose of this position is to provide research and other support to faculty members associated with the Doctor of Educational Leadership program at the Farrington College of Education & Human Development.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities
Under the direction of the Program Director for the Ed.D., this position entails:
- Providing research support for faculty in the doctoral program (e.g., literature reviews, quantitative data analysis, coding and analysis of qualitative data, etc).
- Serving as an informal mentor to first- and second-year doctoral candidates
- Providing assistance to faculty engaged in course and program improvement initiatives (e.g., Pioneers in Peer Coaching, Doctoral Students of Color, etc.)
- Provide feedback to the Ed.D. Program Director on improvements to the Ed.D. program based on experience and interactions with current candidates.
Knowledge & Skills Needed
This individual must have successfully completed two years of the Doctor of Educational Leadership program at Sacred Heart University. They must have at least ten years of educational leadership experience in a K-12 setting, and demonstrated proficiency in writing and research at the doctoral level as evidenced by their successful completion of two years of coursework in the Ed.D. program. In addition, they must be able to engage in a variety of tasks simultaneously and take direction from the program director.
