Career Development Graduate Assistant (Part-Time)
This position will focus on assisting career team with operational duties, student support/engagement, as well as employer relations support and recruitment management.
- Full-Time (35 hours/week)
- Preferred Areas of Study: Higher Education & Student Affairs, Human Resource Management, I/O Psychology or MBA
- Compensation:
- $15,000 tuition waiver
- $7,050 stipend

August 11, 2025 - June 12, 2026
Dates are flexible depending on candidate's availability
Principal Duties & Responsibilities
- Provide career counseling/coaching to students regarding issues related to career development, major choice, job search, internships and student employment by appointment or on a walk-in basis
- Provides workshops and class presentations on a variety of career related topics
- Assist in the coordination of career fairs and other events
- Facilitate the posting of jobs and internships online and in the office
- Assist in the maintenance of the Resume Referral program
- Aid in the development and updating of career publications, digital badge and marketing materials
- Provide administrative support including management of "careerdev" and "Employer Engagement" email accounts
- Assist with front office management, including answering phone, greeting students, etc.
- Assist with employer relations functions
- Other duties as assigned
Unusual Working Conditions
Occasional evening and/or weekend hours required.

Knowledge & Skills Needed
- Bachelor’s Degree Required
- Strong interpersonal communication skills with the ability to listen well and work effectively with diverse groups, exceptional customer service
- High energy with an entrepreneurial spirit willing to take initiative
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, as well as presentation skills to small/large groups
- Highly organized with demonstrated ability to work independently and as a team member
- Willingness to be flexible with scheduling and possess a strong work ethic
- Willingness and ability to learn new software
- Previous undergraduate leadership/involvement preferred
