Payment Options

Payments are accepted via credit card, money order, wire transfer or cash.

Online Payment

You can pay the full tuition amount online using a U.S. dollar checking or savings account by logging in to your student account. For international students, the university has partnered with Flywire to facilitate payments in various currencies, offering competitive exchange rates and reduced bank fees.

Secure International Payment

SHU has partnered with Flywire to offer a safe and streamlined way to process international payments. Flywire’s mission is to save international students and their families money that would otherwise be lost on bank fees and unfavorable foreign exchange rates. With Flywire, you can pay from any country, choosing from a variety of local payment methods, including bank transfers, credit cards and e-wallets (PayPal & Alipay).

By Mail

Payments can be mailed via check or money order made payable to "Sacred Heart University." Include your full name and email in the memo field. Mail payments to:

In-Person Payment

Payments can be made in person at the Student Accounts office. Office hours are Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The cashier window closes 30 minutes prior to office closure.

Tuition Refund Policy

Intensive Daytime ESL Program

The intensive daytime ESL Program tuition refund policy follows Sacred Heart University’s refund policy for online and modular programs (eight-week terms). Visit the Student Accounts website for additional withdrawal policy details.

Depending on the time of withdrawal, a student is entitled to the following tuition refunds:

• 100% refund if you withdraw before the start of the term
• 80% refund if you withdraw during the first week of the term
• 0% refund if you withdraw after the first week of the term

Evening ESL Program

The evening ESL Program tuition refund policy follows Sacred Heart University’s refund policy for ground/hybrid/ESL evening classes (nine to 16+week semesters). Visit the Student Accounts website for additional withdrawal policy details.

Depending on the time of withdrawal, a student is entitled to the following tuition refunds:

Fall and spring semesters (On-ground/hybrid/ESL evening classes that make up nine to 16+week semesters)

• 100% before start of first week through the add/drop deadline of the semester
• 80% before start of the third week
• 60% before start of the fourth week
• 40% before start of the fifth week
• 20% before start of the sixth week
• 0% after start of the sixth week
