The mission of the department of art & design department is to provide real-world training set within a liberal arts-based curriculum.

Striking a balance between cutting-edge technology and the foundations of design, drawing, illustration and painting affords diversity of skill invaluable in the marketplace. The art & design department prepares students to become artists and designers who are knowledgeable, educated, compassionate and responsive to social and civic obligations in an ever-changing world.
