What is a big question that you think the liberal arts help us to explore?

What does it mean to live a meaningful life?

What is one favorite quote or idea of yours from any class you've taken in the foundational core?

Even during the hardest times in life, don’t question God but pray and reflect on why this experience is happening to help you grow stronger.

How do you hope your studies will help you make a positive impact in your community?

I hope my studies give me the knowledge, skills and perspective to help my community in practical ways, like through volunteering, mentoring or supporting people through bilingual communication. I hope to bring understanding and empathy to others by sharing what I’ve learned about different cultures, values and beliefs.

What are you most excited about for the future of the Pioneer Scholars?

All the upcoming events, where I can meet professionals and learn from them. I hope to connect with doctors, lawyers and business leaders and learn about their work, which could help me understand where I might want to go in the future.

Looking ahead, what kind of impact do you hope to have after graduation?

I hope to continue volunteering and helping my community in any way I can, using my bilingual skills and the knowledge I have gained from my courses. I plan to share the lessons I’ve learned about faith, ethics and leadership to positively influence others.
