Assistant Director

Annie Wendel is thrilled to be working with students and faculty, bringing with her a long-standing passion for global citizenship, social justice, and student development. She received an M.Ed in Community Engagement from Merrimack College and B.A. in Public and Community Service from Providence College, both of which reinforced her desire to promote and support effective community partnerships. She has spent time in New Haven and Bridgeport public schools implementing a positive youth development curriculum and organizing community service-learning opportunities for students. Additionally, her international experiences in Australia, Solomon Islands, South Africa, and Nepal have led her to pursue research and programming in global service-learning. Annie welcomes students to visit the VPSL office and encourages them to explore new opportunities to connect with their community!
