National Student Speech Language Hearing Association | NSSLHA
NSSLHA is the national organization for graduate and undergraduate students interested in the study of normal and disordered human communication. NSSLHA is the only official national student association recognized by the American Speech Language Hearing Association (ASHA). NSSLHA has approximately 13,000 members with chapters at more than 300 colleges & universities. NSSLHA membership at Sacred Heart University is available to any full-time undergraduate student interested in the study of communication disorders.
"The National Student Speech Language Hearing Association (NSSLHA) has given club members, along with myself, a chance to grow in the SLP field. We have been able to make connections through guest speakers, professors, and resources that have been presented to us. This club has allowed us to raise money for important organizations. For example, The NSSLHA Loves Campaign, which helps provide funding and awareness to those with communication disorders. Being able to give those who have trouble communicating properly the chance to progress, is one of the greatest rewards for any of us going into the field. We are looking forward to another successful year!" - Mariel Rondinelli, Class of 2019
