Jennifer Phaiah, Ed.D.
Assistant Clinical Professor
Dr. Jennifer Phaiah teaches in the Department of Teacher Education at the Griswold campus. She has over ten years’ experience as a high school mathematics and biology teacher in Stonington, while also serving as the STEM coordinator. Dr. Phaiah worked for the Middletown Public School system as the Secondary Math Curriculum Supervisor and also taught mathematics at Three Rivers Community College for three years as an adjunct professor. Dr. Phaiah completed her doctoral work studying teenagers’ reasons for listening to music and their perceptions of listening while completing school assignments. She presented her research at the New England Educational Research Organization Conference in 2010.
As a graduate of the Sacred Heart Master of Teaching and Administrative Certification programs, Dr. Phaiah is excited to be teaching in the program that prepared her to work in public education. She resides in Groton, CT with her husband Adam and their twin sons Landon and Blake.
