What will I study? 

You will begin by studying two-dimensional calculus in Calculus I and II. Then you will be taken beyond two dimensions in either Calculus III or Linear Algebra. You have the choice of two electives from a variety of areas of mathematics such as differential equations, probability and statistics, history of mathematics, structures and proofs, and much more!

Required Courses 

  • MA 151 Calculus I
  • MA 152 Calculus II
  • Three additional mathematics courses numbered 250 or above, at least one of which must be MA 253 Calculus III or MA 261 Linear Algebra

Is a minor in mathematics right for me?

If you are majoring in the sciences, computer science, or business, a minor in mathematics will enhance your studies and be very attractive to potential employers!

When should I declare a minor?

Anytime! Of course, it is always advisable to declare a minor sooner rather than later.
