George Goss, M.S.

George K. Goss, M.S.

Instructor , Mathematics

Professor George Goss began teaching part-time with the department in 1998 and was promoted to full time in 2005. Professor Goss teaches primarily freshmen and is also a freshman academic advisor. Before coming to SHU, Professor Goss owned and operated his own audio-video servicing business for 30 years. Because of his “real world” experiences, Professor Goss aims to motivate and excite the interest of the student in expanding their logic and reasoning skills so that they may then be applied to successfully answer some of the challenges faced in real life situations and some food for thought along the way. Although he teaches primarily freshmen, Professor Goss also advises seniors on their seminar projects. As a long time reader of science fiction, he hopes Quantum Mechanics, Chaos Theory, and the Infinite are but a few topics that might intrigue students to investigate the world of mathematics.
