The Human Journey Colloquia Series presents “The Great Conversation: Liberal Education through the Study of the Great Books” with Roosevelt Montás, director of the Center for the Core Curriculum at Columbia College, on Wednesday, November 14, at 2 p.m. in University Commons. Montás specializes in Antebellum American literature and culture, with a particular interest in American citizenship. His dissertation, Rethinking America: Abolitionism and the Antebellum Transformation of the Discourse of National Identity, won Columbia University’s 2004 Bancroft Award. This talk is free and open to the public.
